When an Accident Occurs
An auto accident occurs every five seconds. We hope it doesn't happen to you, but if you're involved in an accident, here are some tips on what to do:

1. In the event of a severe accident where someone is injured, call 911 or the police and stay at the scene until they arrive.

2. Stay calm.

3. File a police report, no matter how minor the damage to your car or motorcycle.

4. As soon as possible, write down the facts of the accident, including:

	Date and time of day
	Location of accident
	Names, addresses, phone numbers, insurance companies and license numbers of all drivers involved
	Makes, models and license plate numbers of other vehicles involved
	Names, addresses and phone numbers of all passengers and witnesses
	Injuries to any involved parties
	Damage to property
	Name of police department and officers investigating the accident

5. Most of the companies we represent have 24 hour claim service numbers available for our customers to report a claim. If our office is closed, call the 24 hour claim reporting number.

Do not discuss the accident with anyone except your agent, your company or the police.
